Groundwork West Midlands have recently launched a project called Sporting Chances within the South of Stoke on Trent. The project is funded by the Football Foundation and aims to both encourage children and young people to participate in sport, and encourage older Young People aged 16+ to volunteer in sports coaching/assisting/leadership.

We will be running a free football session on a Friday evening 5pm - 6pm on the Astro Turf at Florence Sports and Social Club. This is free and open to everyone 11-16 years in terms of participation, and anyone aged 16+ who wishes to volunteer. The sessions will be led by qualified coaches and consist of some drills, games and competitions.

I would be grateful if you could publicise the session to any young players who may be interested in an extra session and any older players/relatives who may be interested in volunteering their time. We will be able to provide a range of accredited training to all committed volunteers.
